Even More Foreign Spirit Reprints!

Here are some more foreign reprint covers.

Garbo SuperComics (Publisher) Spain (Country)

It seems that this first series was simply translating the Warren Reprints into Spanish.
Here's the actual Warren Cover, painted by Basil Gogos:

They Eventually reprinted all 16 Warren issues each featuring the same cover as the original.

But they didn't stop when Warren did! They began a new series now with covers by....well, who knows?

#22
We're going out of order here for a second to discuss inspiration .vs. paint over. Given the closeness to Eisner's style I originally assumed the covers were Eisner Panels painted over by one of Garbo's artists. I recognized this scene from "The Fortune" (5/11/47) and upon rereading it, discovered it was original art, the closest comparisons were these 2 panels:

A pretty great likeness of Eisner's work!
